For Norm Wightman, hunting is so much more than a past time; it’s a way a life. The fuel that drives Norm’s passion was introduced at an early age by his father. Norm’s passion for the outdoors has lead him to hunt in fish in numerous states and countries, including multiple trips to Canada and Africa. As Norm’s passion grew, so too did his desire to combine his outdoor lifestyle with his marketing background. The formation of Wight Ox Enterprises is the end result of this combination! In addition to Wight Ox Enterprises, Rush Outdoors and Running's Great New York Sportsman’s Expo, Norm also owns and operates The Resort at Snug Harbor in Cape Vincent, NY.

John’s resume includes 20 years in Radio, TV and Promotion.
Combining that professional background with his undeniable drive to chase critters made a career in the Outdoor Industry a perfect fit. After a few years of producing Hunting DVDs John teamed up with Norm Wightman to form Wight-Ox Enterprises, the parent company of Rush Outdoors and The World of Rush Outdoors. This partnership spurred the launch of both television shows and The Great New York Sportsman’s Expo, allowing John to fulfill a lifelong dream of making a living in the Outdoors.

Wight Ox Enterprises has made a name for itself by delivering energetic expos that become an integral part of sportsman’s calendars. ​
